Outline


Thesis Statement: The Civil Rights protest that were led by Martin Luther King Jr. resulted in the Chicago have a high crime rate today.

I. Main Idea: Racism had become such an integral part of American society no one saw anything wrong with the way Chicago treated African-Americans.

A. The Rise and Fall of Slavery in America gives direct descriptions of how American began racially and how these racial tenisons never ceased.
B. The History of American Controversy give a specific instances on conflictions that have caused great strife throughout the history of America. 
C.  The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America gives the ideas, structures and regulations from which our country was founded upon.

II. Main Idea: Once Martin Luther King Jr. brought attention to the racist customs normal in Chicagoan society he brough national attention to what racism really meant.

A. The Black Experience in America is designed to give background insight to the customs previously associated with Chicago.
B. In search of the New South : The Black Urban Experience in 1970s and 1980s. This source is supposed to contrast the North's policies with those of the South.
C. To Build a Nation: Black Women writers Black Nationalism and Violent Reduction of Wholeness. This source is designed to give yet another inside view of what black's experienced during the time period.

III. Main Idea: One whites moved out of communites affected by Martin Luther King Jr. so did local buisnesses and restaurants.

"IIII. Main Idea: Without an economic stability residents within newly populated Chicago areas were pressed to find decent means of making a living.
